Causes of Body Dehydration Despite Regular Water Intake

Even though you drink water regularly, dehydration in the body can still occur due to various reasons. Let's explore some noteworthy factors to better understand this condition:

Sleep: Regardless of whether you sleep for 6-10 hours or more, it can still lead to water loss. A 2019 study in the Sleep journal found that people who sleep 6 hours or less per night are more likely to be dehydrated compared to those who sleep 8 hours. This is hypothesized to be due to disruptions in the biological signal called Vasopressin, which instructs the body to retain water towards the end of the sleep cycle. Additionally, the body loses water through the skin and respiration even during rest.

Consuming Excessive Sugar

Behind the act of consuming excessive sugar lies the negative impact on health, causing inflammation and leading to rapid water loss, especially during the summer with habits like drinking soda, sugary beverages, and energy drinks. Research from the World Health Organization indicates that sugar in sugary drinks can deplete water in the body by drawing water from tissues. Caffeine in carbonated soft drinks also increases the frequency of urination. Therefore, excessive consumption of carbonated beverages can result in significant water loss from the body.

Alcohol and Alcoholic Beverages

Alcohol and alcoholic beverages are indeed adversaries to water in the body. Alcohol is diuretic, meaning it removes water and other fluids from the body. This explains why after consuming alcohol, we often experience headaches and thirst. It is advisable to drink Mui Ne Ion Water Ne alongside the consumption of alcoholic beverages.

Methods to Effectively Reduce Water Loss

To minimize water loss in the body effectively, consider the following methods:

Hydrate Sufficiently: The simplest method is to drink an adequate amount of water regularly. Consider using alkaline ionized water with natural alkalinity, similar to that found in green vegetables with a pH range of 8.5-9.5. This helps neutralize excess acidity in the body caused by an improper diet, stress, and environmental factors.

A Proper Diet

Establishing a balanced diet involves incorporating food groups such as carbohydrates, proteins, vegetables, fruits, and grains. Particularly, consuming a variety of vegetables, fruits, and tubers is a way to supply water to the body. Limit the consumption of sugary foods such as pastries, carbonated drinks, milk tea, and fast food like fried chicken, instant noodles, and hamburgers.

A healthy body always requires adequate nutrition from the four food groups: carbohydrates, proteins, fats, vitamins, and minerals. Among these, the first three groups play a role in providing energy (measured in kcal) for daily activities, while the fourth group, although not providing energy, is crucial for overall health. Deficiencies in any of these groups can have negative consequences on health.

Depending on age, body composition, and each developmental stage, the body will need different proportions of nutrients from these four food groups. Each food group has its specific role and supports one another in nourishing the body. Therefore, ensuring an adequate supply of all four food groups is essential to maintain a healthy and vibrant body, enhance immunity, and prevent the intrusion of harmful agents that may affect health.

Proper Rest and Stress Reduction

It is essential to have sufficient rest and sleep at the right times, aiming for a sleep duration from 8:00 PM to 6:00 AM daily. Getting enough sleep also helps improve water retention, whether one sleeps less or more.
